Scholl Cracked Heel Repair Cream

It's all glamour here eh?Summer time is sort of here, and it's time to get those bare feet into flip flops/sandals/mules/well bare feet. I always think my feet are fine until this time of year when they are out all the time and I notice little dry patches on my heel and on the pads of my feet. I ped egg and moisturise the odd time but that's about it. I don't mind a good pedicure but to be honest, I don't really feel that much difference after one so tend to DIY. When I saw Scholl "Cracked Heel Repair Cream" advertised, I thought it might be worth a shot.

It's "fast acting" working in 7 days, with visible results in 3. It also has to be used twice a day which had me a bit dubious in itself. It is suitable for sensitive skin and diabetics. It is fragrance free and should reduce discomfort and prevent infection.

Now as I said my feet aren't all that bad. They do look a bit dry in parts and have some hardened skin. I applied the cream to the dry areas in the morning and in the evenings before bed. The cream itself is quite thick and greasy - a bit like a greasier version of Savlon. It did make my feet a bit greasy so I tried to wear socks after application but at this time of the year it wasn't always easy.

After 3 days I didn't notice much difference to my dry bits. After 7 there was possibly a bit of improvement. But nothing spectacular. Maybe I was expecting too much? But for about £6.00 I thought it might at least be an intensive moisturiser.

I don't really know what else to say other than... if I were you I'd save my money for something else. Invest in a ped egg and apply a nice rich moisturiser a couple of nights a week (or a budget one more often) along with a pair of thick socks.

Have you tried it? Have you any other tricks to keep your feet sandal-suitable?

Sex and the City 2

I simply cannot wait to see this! I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea and some think the storyline of the last one wasn't very strong, some of the reviews for this one aren't that fantastic blah blah blah. But come on, it is mainly about the event isn't it? The meeting up with girlfriends/loved ones/partners (even taking a well deserved break for a couple of hours and going on your own!) and going for lunch/dinner/drinks/shopping and to the cinema for pure escapism.

For me a lot of it is about the fashion and about seeing the fabulous locations it is filmed in. The storyline will matter but as a sucker for a happy ending, as long as nothing terrible happens, I'm not hard to please on that front.

I do have some serious concerns though:

a) I am not seeing the film until Saturday so I am scared someone will spoil what are potentially my favourite parts on me before then and

b) What on earth should I wear to the cinema? Husband is taking me for lunch and to the cinema to see it (honestly he looked crushed when he thought I would be going with my mum and sister to see it first) with some shopping possibly thrown in for good measure.

Do I go for casual comfort and slouch comfortably into my seat for the duration of the film or do I dust off my beloved Manolo Blahnik "Something Blue" Hangisi (seen in the first film) and make a bit of an effort?

Or something in between? Maybe wear a summery dress with some flats for shopping and bring out the heels for lunch/cinema time?

Gosh I haven't even considered what the weather situation will be...

I need to lie down!

Anyway, while I worry about all this important stuff - tell me your plans ladies......

Jewellery Haul!

My tastes in jewellery have changed quite a lot lately. I wear jewellery much more often than I used to (well I wear my wedding/engagement ring a lot!) and I am much more open to jewellery that isn't silver or white gold.

I like quirky jewellery and stuff that is quite cute as well as some vintage pieces.

Over the weekend I got some new goodies and I love every single one of them!!

Green Enamel Apple Ring £18 - www.galibardy.co.uk

Green Miniature Apple Necklace £12 - www.galibardy.co.uk
Cupcake necklace £6 - Accessorize

Crystal Feather Earrings £10 - http://www.galibardy.co.uk/

I also got a gorgeous art deco style hair comb which just arrived today so I will try to get some photos up of it!

What styles of jewellery will you be wearing this summer? Where are the best places to find cute and quirky pieces??
