As you might have read here I got me some GOSH bargains last week. I decided to try the Metallic Green first (excuse the slightly messy and rushy application!)
I used a Seche Vite topcoat and while I like the colour and the applicaiton I have to say it has peeled quite a bit over the last few days. I think I'm comparing it too much to the longevity of the Barry M pink from last week and I've always had peeling issues with metallics over solids so I might be being a little harsh. The colour itself is beautiful. It reminds me a little of Models Own "Green Flash" from here (how long were my nails?!) but it slightly darker and less shimmery.
Overall I can't knock it too much at the £2 I paid for it. I wouldn't have fancied paying full price and probably wouldn't purchase again at full price unless I needed the colour for something in particular.
[joey essex stylie] What are you saying?

GOSH Bargains
Greetings lovelies! I thought I'd pop by and share my excitement at two new nail polishes purchases from yesterday. I hadn't bought a new nail polish for what seemed like ages. I was having a quick browse in my local Superdrug yesterday and found they had a "display" on GOSH products which were reduced. I say display as it wasn't pretty, it had the jumble sale vibe going on but there's nowt wrong with that.
Nail varnish wise, they had a nice pink and the green glitter and some clear ones too. I was torn on what all to buy as I tend to get a bit sucked in by bargains. In the end I picked the two nail polishes below which were reduced from £4.99 to £2 each which given the quality of GOSH varnishes I've had in the past - I was impressed with.
So there you have it. The "display" looks quite professional on a branded front (not so much on the tidy sense) so presumably it's not something confined to my Superdrug. If you're a fan of GOSH it's definitely worth a look to see what bargains you can pick up.

PS Keep your eyes peeled for a NOTD using the 567 Metallic Green :)

NOTD Barry M Bright Pink
I hope you are all doing well and had a nice Valentine's Day? I find Valentine's Day fine when in a relationship but used to hate it when I was younger and didn't receive anything from a secret admirer. I know it can suck depending on your situation so I'm not a massive fan of it as a rule.
This year Mr L cooked me a gorgeous meal at the weekend and then we just had a quiet night in on Tuesday itself which was lovely and a nice change!
Onto my nail of the day or nail of the week as it should be! I must confess these photos were only taken after about 4 days of wear as I did them for Valentine's Day but I thought I'd do a wee post as I'm so impressed with the colour and how they are lasting.
I've had this polish for a while but I REALLY like it and even more so with the Seche Vite topcoat which I think gives it a bit of a Gelish look.
Check out the coat from my last post in the background, ha!
This is with a clear base coat, two coats of Barry M "Bright Pink" 279 and a top coat of Seche Vite. I love the sort of blue tone of the pink which can look a bit purpley in some lights and a bit Barbie pink in others. A good solid fun colour for a rather drab February if you ask me.
Have a fabulous weekend :)
