How do you like them apples?

I like apples. Not massively keen on the fruit itself but as a design or a doodle or whatever I feel a bit drawn to them. I have a couple of apple rings and necklace that I love and posted about here so when I spied these in New Look yesterday I had to snap them up as I think they're really cute.

I also noticed a *cough* homage to the Galibardy ring in my old post near the till in New Look. While it is fairly bargainous also I much prefer the dearer ones I have ta.

In other news and just to reiterate that I seem to have a thing for fruit just now, the lemon dress in the background is from New Look last summer and the nail polish is Barry M 318 Peach Melba.

What are your thoguhts on fruit prints and accessories? I think this totally counts as part of my 5 a day by the way ;)

Have a fabulous weekend xx

£1 Shoes

It looks like I'm on a bit of a roll with my bargains looking back at my last few posts!

If you follow me on Twitter you might have noticed me tweeting about my £1 pair of shoes a couple of weeks ago. I was in my local Primark and spied a low heel, black patent style court shoe which I thought would be handy for work as I'd recently dumped a very similar pair as I'd worn them to death. I checked the sole and noticed the size 3s had been marked down to £1 so hot footed it to the till. They were a little tight when I got them home but fine with tights so I headed back and found they had one pair of size 4s left. They had a different bar code (something to watch out for in Primark) and no "£1" mark but after much to-ing and fro-ing with the cashier, I got them for £1 too!

I thought I'd share some quick photos to show off my find...

(trousers Primark £12, 80sesque jumper Topshop from a while ago)

I know they aren't going to win any fashion awards but they are relatively comfortable and they go with lots of things so I'm well pleased.

I love a good bargain! Have you had any good ones lately?

NOTD - GOSH Midnight Blue

Hello! I hope you're all doing OK. Nothing of much excitement to report from me. Busy with work, still on a never ending diet. I baked a cake for my uncle's Birthday at the weekend (might pop up a pic of that in case you missed it on Twitter), it's been my Mum, Dad and sister's Birthday in the last fortnight too so it's been rather hectic. Also it was 7 years since I got engaged yesterday. how time flies!!

Anyway, enough chitter chatter. I'm back with another Nail of the Day - the other nail polish from my mini haul a couple of posts back - GOSH Midnight Blue 593.

There are 3 coats in the above photos with a Seche Vite topcoat for added shine. One coat wasn't too bad actually, two coats good but I thought I'd go for a third before Seche Vite-ing it and I LOVE it.

It's such a rich blue colour ad the high shine finish just tops it off nicely. So far it is wearing much better than the Metallic Green though there is a teeny bit of wear to a couple of tips.

Would I buy again at £2? Yes. Would I buy it at £4.99? Yes. It's a keeper!!
